Orthoceras.
In these shells lived Orthoceras, now technically called Geisenoceras.
These ocean dwellers, up to 1.8m. long, swam in the oceans of 350 million years ago.
After death, their shells were preserved in black marble. The fossil shells are found today
and polished in the Sahara Desert in Morocco.
