The Talbragar Fish Beds consist of fine grained siltstone and mudstones.
They form part of the Purlawaugh Formation and are thought to be
the remnants of a small freshwater lake surrounded by forest
when Australia was part of Gondwana. Also called podozamites.
Agathis jurassica is thought to be the fossil of the Wollemi Pine.
